Responsible for identifying funding opportunities and securing grant funds.
Job Summary:
The Grant Manager is responsible for managing a team of grant writers in order to research and apply for funding opportunities In this capacity, the Grant Manager will ensure that funding proposals are completed and submitted to the granting organization within the time frame indicated on the proposal/application.
Job Description
TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:
• Determine needs and work with department managers to research and apply for funding opportunities the organization;
• Prepare proposals and grant applications in the time period indicated on the grant guidance/proposal.
• Ensure all documents are true and factual;
• Supports the development of strategic partnerships with business and industry, educational institutions, economic development and community-based agencies; facilitates external partnership meetings; leads partnership development activities; negotiates roles, duties and contributions; drafts agreements, subcontracts and other documents.
• Create and finalize all aspects of the grant application including the budget, letters, reports and etc;
• Evaluates requests for funding opportunities, researches supporting data and best practices; analyzes funding agency’s requirements and anticipates the organization’s competitive position for each opportunity.
• Maintain calendar to ensure timely submission of grant proposals, applications, letters and reports;
• Prioritize and assign projects to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner, meet deadlines and manage supplemental materials;
• Serve as the subject matter expert on all items related to grants;
• Assist in developing presentations for various stakeholders
• Writes and edits grant proposals; researches institutional and funding agency policies to ensure proposed activities and budgets are in accordance with the organization’s policies and funding agency’s requirements.

- Strong oral and written communication skills, including editing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
